Events
General
With the Events module you keep track of all important appointments, events and meetings.
The Events module includes the Upcoming Events web part.
Upcoming Events
With the Upcoming Events web part you can create a clear overview of the most important events and upcoming appointments in one place.
Add the web part to your SharePoint page or edit a SharePoint page, hover over the web part and select Edit web part to configure the Upcoming Events web part.
Datasource
In the Data Source section you can reference a specific SharePoint calendar to use as source for the events displayed in the Upcoming Events web part. By default the entries of the SharePoint calendar of the current Site Collection are being displayed.
To display the entries of a SharePoint calendar of another Site Collection, specify the relative path to the desired Site Collection below Site URL (e.g.
/sites/portal
). To display the entries of the current Site Collection leave the field blank.TipThe SharePoint calendar for adding and editing events can be found in Site contents under Events.
By selecting the option Include subsites? you can specify whether the entries of the calendars of all Subsites should also be displayed.
Paging
In the section Paging you can define the number of entries per page.
A maximum of ten entries per page can be displayed. If there are more entries than available, the remaining entries will be shown in additional (up to four) pages.
Displayed Time interval
With Displayed Time interval you can specify the time period of the appointments and events that are being displayed.
Filter
In the Filter section you can exclude individual entries from being displayed.
Click Show search-box to activate the search bar for the entries in the Upcoming Events web part.
With Restrict to the following categories you can restrict the displayed entries to certain categories.
